Any new member of our team will be supported by an excellent management team and Board of Directors who believe doctor input is a critical, valued component of medical outcomes.
The medical team is outstanding, extremely competent and includes licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and administrative personnel, which allows the veterinarian to concentrate on surgery, medical cases, and big picture shelter medicine protocols.
Services are provided to shelter animals and to rescue partners including surgical procedures and medical case workups.
Hours are flexible up to 30 hours a week.
Salary is competitive with shelter and private practice rates throughout the Midwest.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality veterinary care to a variety of animals - Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests - Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries - Perform surgical procedures - Prescribe medications and administer treatments - Maintain accurate medical records - Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a veterinarian - Proficiency in animal care, veterinary terminology, and veterinary critical care - Strong knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy - Experience in laboratory work, including analyzing samples and interpreting results - Familiarity with dog handling techniques and animal husbandry practices - Ability to perform high-quality/high volume spay-neuters - Shelter Medicine If you are a compassionate veterinarian with a passion for providing excellent care to animals, we would love to hear from you.
