com We are currently looking to hire a dependable and reliable Quality Inspector to work in our Saginaw, MI facility, during 1st shift hours with overtime and some weekend availability.
Pay will be dependent on experience.
Summary of Position:
Establish inspection criteria from part prints, perform in-process inspections on parts.
Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) when needed.
Detailed knowledge of part prints for a CNC Machining and Fabrication environment.
Working knowledge of MS Office software.
Respond to internal and external Non-Conformances as needed and address all part returns from customers.
Support Quality Engineer/Quality Manager with customer correspondence for respective Corrective Actions.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Able to read part prints and determine critical dimensions Perform in-process inspections on pre-identified key dimensions as well as answer dimensional concerns on parts produced Provide calibration checks using micrometers and calipers and perform inventory management of instruments Lead efforts to perform 8D root cause analysis and document corrective actions.
Comply with customer communication requests.
Track supplier non-conformances and request 8D information from them.
Track their actions to closure and use metrics to measure the suppliers.
Use Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and analytical software (Nikon) to check parts Maintain Instrument Calibration Records and Calibration Dates Assist in the management and execution of the ISO9001 Quality Management System (QMS) Use Microsoft Office Suite for Email, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Able to communicate visually and verbally with teammates and customers All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, BS Preferred Blueprint reading experience CMM experience preferred Ability to operate and read micrometers and calipers and work simply dimensional checking equipment Experience working in ISO9001 engineering controlled environment MS Office Suite experience Able to work in a team environment (work with others) Must be able to pass background check Competitive Benefits available after 90 days!
