Summary of Position:
Provides quality activities for residents.
Updates all staff of scheduled activities and any necessary changes.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Creates any craft ideas to be carried out by residents.
Changes activity board per season, holiday, or informational idea.
Carry out activities on the monthly calendar as created by Life Enrichment Coordinator Assists in gathering information for monthly newsletter Assists in planning activities for the residents Assists with assessing residents activity preferences and interests Maintains and inventories activity supplies and equipment Informs residents and staff of activities planned.
Carries out or assembles for activities six days a week.
Informs head cook if food is needed for an activity.
Informs all individuals of any changes in planned schedules.
Maintains a positive, encouraging attitude with all involved.
Required to transport resident on outings-12 seater shuttle bus Vicinia will pay for your Chauffeurs License Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education (GED) and three months of related experience is helpful and/or training in direct care of older adults, or equivalent of education and experience.
