Do you enjoy working on a variety of issues in a fast-paced environment? Are you comfortable being a visible presence on the manufacturing floor and being a hands-on HR Generalist?
Creative Foam's Fenton Automotive and Composite operations have an outstanding opportunity for a Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the site Plant Managers and Corporate Human Resources Director, this key position provides HR support for two locations in the Fenton, MI area
Key responsibilities include:
Provide hands-on HR support for 2 manufacturing facilities in Fenton (approximately 210 full-time employees)
Administer various human resource plans and programs including FMLA, STD, Workers' Compensation, new hire orientation and attendance
Active participant in plant safety committee activities
Recruit, screen and interview applicants to fill plant professional and production openings
Partner with production and other departments to help develop programs and systems to continue to improve operations
Be visible on the shop floor and promote the use of the open door to help facilitate employee concerns
Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding union contract interpretation
Provide guidance to HR Assistant
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
At least 3 years HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
Ability to build and maintain superior relationships with employees at all levels
Visibility on the shop floor and willingness to be a hands-on manager
Some experience in a union environment preferred
Demonstrated knowledge/experience with OSHA regulations and health/safety systems and procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
