MAJOR FUNCTION:
Assist Quality group and shift Supervisors with inspecting and auditing of day to day manufacturing operations as part of the TS 16949 quality plans and procedures as published in the Corporate Quality and Plant Quality Procedures Manuals. Provide guidance and direction to plant manufacturing personnel on quality policy and procedures. Ensures purchased and manufactured products meet established standards. Verifies non-conforming products are identified, processed and disposed of according to plant procedures. Performs inspections, test and audits of processes and products and oversees the collection, organization, analysis, presentation and storage of quality records.
Essential Functions:
Perform or verify appropriate inspections and/or tests are conducted during incoming, set-up, in-process, final inspection and at dock audit. Coordinate with management and engineering the discovery of problems and help to develop process improvements. Ensure inspections, verifications and testing focus on defect prevention vs. defect detection.
Ensure non-conforming products are identified, segregated, and when practical, moved to the hold area. Establish inspection and re-work standards. Verify products that have been sorted or re-worked meet customer standards. Obtain approval form appropriate authority to dispose of non-conforming product.
Ensure approved materials are adequately identified, using appropriate lot numbers, tags and/or labels. Verifies material certified to be free of a specific non-conforming characteristic is identified as necessary per specific customer requirements.
Work with cross functional teams to develop, maintain and implement procedures for corrective action, both internal and external, including, but not limited to; recording, investigating, eliminating and controls to prevent loss of resources.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Assist management in the identification of training needs, including but not limited to; QA, Supervision, Engineering, and operators.
Assist in the selection, development and implementation of SPC activities at the Fenton Plant.
Assist in the development, maintenance, and control of QA documents, including, but not limited to: Inspection and quality plans, procedures, and workstation instructions. Review, distribute, obsolete, and ensure removal of changed documents.
Collect, organize, present QA reports; track and report trends of continuous improvement and causes of non-conformance identified during audits, inspections, scrap and/or re-work activities to management team in timely manner. Assist management team in the use of company level data to drive improvement.
Provides appropriate assistance to the Quality department in the conduct of semi-annual internal quality systems audits. Assist Alloy Plant management team in the development and verification of corrective actions in response to non-conformance identified during internal quality system audits.
PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
Two (2) years of quality assurance experience, with some formal technical training.
Knowledgeable of TS 16949 procedures and requirements preferred.
Requirements:
High school diploma
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, proven ability to work with people.
Knowledge of computers and ability to operate. Plex System experience helpful.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
